Meet Our New Director of Invictus Sixth Form
Updated: Jan 10
It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the new Director of Invictus Sixth Form. I am passionate about creating challenging and aspirational experiences for our students, and I am looking forward to leading the Sixth Form on the next stage of its journey. I have been a teacher and senior leader for 14 years and led a successful multi school academy Sixth Form within Staffordshire. It is my belief that students should be supported to achieve the highest academic standards ensuring they are known well as individuals and that their personality, talents, skills and interests are developed and encouraged. Invictus Sixth Form encourages students to open their minds to the endless career possibilities and for us to support them both academically and pastorally in achieving those ambitions.
Invictus Sixth Form falls within the top 10% of schools in the country for attainment (ALPS) and over the coming weeks and months is to showcase the fantastic teaching and learning within Invictus Sixth form to students within Key stage 4. In addition, I am passionate in forging more links with local business and also universities both local and further a field to enrich students experiences of both academic and vocational opportunities. Our enrichment programme is extensive and can be developed further through my plan to introduce both certified courses such as Teaching English as a foreign language and the Sports leadership Award but also through to Young Enterprise, the pastoral mentoring and Work experience programme.
I am very excited to be part of the Invictus Sixth Form journey and very much look forward to meeting students and parents soon.
