Students from Invictus Sixth Form achieved some hugely impressive individual outcomes as students came together to open their results today.
Emily Morgan, Director of Sixth Form, said: “This was the first set of externally marked exams that these students have sat during their secondary education, and that adds some real pressures and challenges. Our Invictus Sixth students have, however, shown real resilience, determination and independence and have secured results that opens the doors to some very exciting futures.”
Seven students, for example, secured straight As, A* or Distinctions across some very challenging subjects, and will be heading off to leading universities and apprenticeship providers to read subjects from Business to Nuclear Engineering. These students were:
· Isabel Porter: A*, A*, A
· Harry Davies: A*, A, A
· Jake Evans: A, A, A
· Finlay Murphy: A, A, A
· Jake Woolley: A, A, A
· Dan Price A, Distinction*, Distinction
· Aleisha Williams A*, Distinction *, Distinction
Alongside those getting straight As, many more students have excelled and will be taking up apprenticeships or have secured the grades they need to start their working careers.
Emily Morgan added: “What is always pleasing on exams results day is to see that our students not only have the results, but also the values and attributes needed to go on and make a real and positive impact.
“It have been a privilege to be part of each and every one of our students journeys through Sixth Form and we very much look forward to hearing all about the next chapter in their lives.
“We would ask all our students to keep in touch through our Alumni community – it is great to hear what they go on and do."
